
At present, through Balini Milk Producer Company Limited, 95,100 members are associated in 1,440 villages of 7 districts and 2.50 lakh liters of milk is being produced daily, 55,000 members are associated with Kashi Milk Producer Company Limited in 1,770 villages of 10 districts and 1.60 lakh liters of milk is being produced daily, Samarthya Milk Producer Company Limited. Milk Producer Company Limited has 73,283 members in 1,160 villages of 7 districts and Srijani Milk Producer Company Limited has 71,320 members in 1,900 villages of 8 districts. At present, 3.94 lakh women members are involved in milk production in 7,220 villages of 42 districts. Through these, about 10.77 lakh liters of milk is being produced every day and 72,669 women have become Lakhpati Didi, out of the total business of ₹ 5,839 crore, the net profit earned is ₹ 133 crore.
The Deputy Chief Minister directed the officials to run a special awareness campaign up to the village level to promote the scheme, so that eligible women and rural families can get complete information about the scheme. The process of registration, application forms and other necessary government documents should be made simple and easy and full support should be provided to the needy people at the departmental level. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s resolve of women empowerment, self-reliant India and one crore Lakhpati Didi is being realized in Uttar Pradesh by connecting it with rural economy. Milk production is becoming a strong source of regular income for rural women. Due to this, along with strengthening the economic status of women, the income of the families is increasing and new opportunities for employment and self-employment are being created in the villages. The success of women associated with milk production proves that village women have immense potential for economic self-reliance. The government is committed to expanding this model and connecting more and more women with it. Women’s income will increase, the economy of villages will strengthen and Uttar Pradesh will move rapidly in the direction of developed Uttar Pradesh as per the resolve of developed India.
