
Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. After this, he inaugurated the Solar Energy and Renewable Energy-2026 exhibition and inspected various stalls set up in the exhibition in detail. He took information about modern technologies, equipment and innovations being developed in solar energy, renewable energy, electrical and related fields. The Deputy Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving rapidly towards energy self-reliance and environmental protection. Solar energy is not only a medium for power generation but is also becoming an effective means of increasing employment, income and entrepreneurship in villages. The Uttar Pradesh government is also moving forward by linking renewable energy with rural development and public welfare as per the vision of the Prime Minister.
The Deputy Chief Minister specially interacted with the women present at the exhibition and took information regarding their self-employment, livelihood and economic empowerment through solar energy. He appreciated the work being done by women entrepreneurs and women associated with self-help groups and described solar energy as an effective medium to increase the income of rural women. He said that the expansion of solar energy is not limited to just meeting the electricity requirement, rather it is becoming a strong base for employment, self-employment, investment, rural development, women empowerment and environmental protection. Experts and industry representatives present during the program also shared their views on the possibilities and investment opportunities available in the field of solar and renewable energy in Uttar Pradesh.
