Kanpur, 29 February (HS). In the present environment, along with the use of organic fertilizers, farming should be done scientifically so that more production can be achieved at less cost. Dr. Khalil Khan, agricultural scientist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, told this to the farmers who had come to the farmer's seminar organized in Maitha development block of Guruvar Kanpur.
He explained in detail about the schemes being run by the government, Kisan Samman Nidhi and the facilities available at the block. Agricultural scientist Dr. Khalil Khan gave detailed information about the improved varieties of urad and moong to be sown in the Zaid season. He advised the farmers to use bio-fertilizers in pulse crops. So that the fertility of the soil can be maintained.
During this, Deepak Kumar, in-charge of seed warehouse of development block Maitha, gave information about sowing of Zaid crops and disease and pest management.
On this occasion, more than 100 farmers including Secretary IFFCO Shivli Abhishek Tiwari, progressive farmer Sunit Dwivedi were present.
