Firozabad, 17 February (HS). Tundla police station on Saturday arrested three vicious thieves with stolen goods worth lakhs of rupees. The police have exposed four incidents and sent them to jail.
CO Tundla Animesh Kumar said that Tundla police station in-charge Kuldeep Dixit was on patrol in the area with the police team on Saturday, when on information he informed Gaurav son of Lal Singh resident of Mohammadpur police station Tundla, Kuldeep Singh son of Rakesh Kumar resident of Nagla Gaula Kuberpur police station Etmadpur district Agra. Saurabh Kumar, son of Hari Singh, resident of Kotki police station Pachokhara, has been arrested from village Mohammadpur police station Tundla. From whose possession 13 bundles of iron bars, 02 steel door leaves, 01 frame steel, 02 railing steel and 15 thousand rupees in cash and 01 loader Vikram tempo, one motorcycle and one Tata loader used in the incident have been recovered.
He said that the estimated value of the goods recovered from the thieves is around Rs 11 lakh. The accused told during interrogation that we formed a gang of six people and stole grains from markets etc., rebars and iron items from under-construction houses, cut gate knobs of closed houses, opened alternators of generators standing on the road or in front of houses with wrenches at night. They steal the goods by cutting the chains of steel and iron rods kept outside the shops on the road and bring them to Gaurav's house. Told that whenever he gets a chance, he takes out small iron items and copper from alternator and takes them to Rupendra's junk shop in Pachokhara and sells them. They find customers for fresh steel and iron doors and sell them at low prices to people building new houses. The CO said that action has been taken against everyone and they have been sent to jail.
