Spices in Monsoon: Along with the slight coolness in the monsoon season, humidity also increases, which can cause many health problems, especially digestive problems are more common in this season. In such a situation, according to Ayurveda, the use of certain spices can help in relieving these problems and improving digestion.

Spices such as ginger, cumin, asafoetida, turmeric and coriander, in particular, keep the digestive system strong due to their medicinal properties and can also help in relieving various digestive problems. Which spices are good for digestion in monsoon?
Dr. Shrey said that people should avoid using garam masala during monsoon. Garam masala can increase stomach problems in this season. If you want to use garam masala to make dal and vegetables in this season, then you can use black pepper and cloves in very small quantities.

1). Turmeric
The doctor said that turmeric should be consumed as a spice during monsoon. Because the antioxidants and other elements present in turmeric help in increasing the immunity of the body. Turmeric stimulates the digestive enzymes present in the stomach and keeps the digestive system healthy. Turmeric also contains curcumin which is helpful in reducing inflammation. You can use turmeric in making vegetables, pulses and other foods.

2). Asafoetida –
The use of asafoetida in pulses and vegetables during monsoon is also beneficial for digestion. Asafoetida promotes digestive enzymes in our intestines and helps in relieving stomach problems. Along with this, asafoetida also helps in gas and stomach pain. You can consume asafoetida with ghee in food or you can also drink it by mixing it in water.

3). Cumin
Cumin can be used in small quantities in pulses and vegetables during monsoon. Cumin reduces gas and bloating and contains antioxidants that protect the body from free radicals. You can use cumin as a spice in food. Along with this, you can also add cumin with ghee in lentils.

4). Monsoon
Excessive consumption of ginger should be avoided during pregnancy but it can be consumed in small quantities in pulses and vegetables. Ginger stimulates digestive enzymes and is helpful in reducing gas, indigestion and stomach pain. Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce inflammation.

5). Coriander leaves
Coriander can also be used in small quantities to enhance the taste of beans and vegetables and keep the digestive system healthy. Coriander seeds improve digestion and relieve indigestion, they contain antioxidants that also help boost the body's immune system. You can use coriander as a spice.
