Mathura, 07 October (HS). Stakeholders Conclave was organized by Bureau of Indian Standards Branch, Noida at Vrindavan Nidhivan Sarovar Portico Hotel.
Participating as the chief guest in the function organized under the Standards Mahotsav on the occasion of World Standards Day, MP Hema Malini said that the use of standards is very useful in human life. He said that entrepreneurs should follow the quality standards and consumers should be aware of the BIS system, so that they can avoid exploitation. He appreciated BIS for organizing the important event. In the program, industrial units following the policies of the Bureau of Indian Standards, educational institutions supporting public awareness, NGOs and resource persons were honored by the guests by giving mementos.
Before this, the program was inaugurated by Dr. RK Tyagi, Deputy Director General of Bureau of Indian Standards and Vikrant, Head of Noida Branch by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, Deputy Director General Dr. RK Tyagi said that the policies and working system of Bureau of Indian Standards are very useful for consumer protection. For which BIS is going to the ground and conducting public awareness campaign. Vikrant, head of Bureau of Indian Standards branch, Noida, gave detailed information regarding the policies and working system of BIS.
Dr. Tyagi said that the policies of the Government of India are being implemented in 26 districts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan through the Noida branch. In the program, the youth also inspired people to follow the standards through street drama.
During this, Joint Director of Bureau of Indian Standards Virendra Kumar Rawat, Deputy Director Officer Imran, Assistant Director Vishnu Dayal Jatt, Standards Promotion Officer Amardeep Jaiswal, Senior Secretariat Assistant Akash Kumar Yadav, Mohit Kumar etc. were present.
