Haridwar, 16 October (HS). On receiving the complaint of burning of rubber, plastic etc. in sugarcane crusher, Joint Magistrate Ashish Mishra immediately took cognizance and conducted raids by the Revenue Department team on various crushers (sugarcane charkha) operating in Roorkee area.
In compliance with the orders of the Joint Magistrate, a joint team of the Revenue Department conducted surprise raids on crushers and charkhas at different places in Landaura, Jhabreda, Libberhedi. 04 crushers in village Khatakhedi, 4 in Ladhaura and 01 in Libberhedi were seized by the teams formed for using rubber, plastic etc. as fuel in crushers. Along with this, a truck filled with rubber, cloth, plastic etc. was seized in village Landhora and handed over to Landhora police station. Along with this, 03 dumpers which were transporting illegal soil on Jhabreda Road were investigated by the joint team of the Revenue Department and due to lack of valid waybills, bills etc., the dumpers were seized and handed over to Jhabreda police station.
The raid team included Deputy District Magistrate Yukta Mishra, Tehsildar Vikas Awasthi and other personnel of the Revenue Department.
