Amid efforts for peace in the Middle East, military conflict has once again reached a dangerous turn. The US military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) and Saudi Arabia’s military, in a joint operation, have carried out precision air strikes on several targets of Iran-backed militias located in eastern Iraq. This military action has been taken in response to more than 30 drone attacks on US bases and Saudi Arabia’s energy installations during the last 72 hours.
