UPSSSC increased 563 new posts in stenographer recruitment, 1224 posts will be recruited

Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has also increased the posts of stenographer recruitment after Junior Assistant Recruitment. The Commission has announced 563 additional posts in stenographer recruitment, after which a total of 1224 posts will now be recruited. Earlier this number was 661. Along with this, 616 posts will now be recruited against 177 posts in the State Tax Department. On December 2, the Commission released an advertisement for stenographer recruitment with 608 of general selection and 53 posts of special selection. The application process started from 26 December, and the last date for application is 25 January 2025.

Description of new vacancies

A total of 259 posts are unreserved among the new vacancies, while 112 posts SC, 12 posts ST, 172 posts OBC and 61 posts are reserved for EWS class candidates. Earlier, UPSSSC announced 2702 posts in Junior Assistant Recruitment, which has now been increased to 3166.

Conditions to apply for main examination

The same candidates can apply in the stenographer main examination Preliminary Quality Test 2023 Was participated in and the score card issued is valid. Candidates who have scored zero or less marks in the real or normalized score will not be shortlist for the main examination. Candidates of some categories may be allowed to apply in the main examination with special conditions.

All candidates will have to pay an online process fee of Rs 25. Candidates shortlisted for the main examination will later pay a separate main examination fee. After submitting the fee, the application form can be finalized, and its print out can be taken.

Educational qualification and selection process

  • The candidate must have passed the intermediate (12th) examination.
  • There should be a minimum speed of 80 words per minute in Hindi gradation and 25 words per minute in Hindi typing.
  • Computer courses and equivalent recognized courses should also be passed.
  • The age of the candidate should be at least 18 years and maximum 40 years.
  • In the selection process, there will be written examination and granting and typing test.
  • Category -wise candidates will be shortlisted as compared to vacant posts, who will get a chance to appear in the main examination.
