UPSSSC has announced recruitment for 132 posts of Senior Instructor: Salary will be up to ₹ 1.12 lakh; Know post wise eligibility and application dates


An excellent opportunity has emerged for the youth of Uttar Pradesh to join government service. Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the official notification (Advertisement No: 21-Exam/2026) for direct recruitment to the vacant posts of Senior Instructor (Senior Instructor) cadre under State Rural Development Institute, Bakshi Ka Talab (BKT), Lucknow.

A total of 132 posts will be appointed through this recruitment drive. The online application process for interested and eligible candidates will start from 14th September 2026. The last date for submission of application form has been fixed as 5th October 2026, while the last date for making amendments in the filled form has been fixed as 12th October 2026.

According to the official notification issued by the Commission, the post of Senior Instructor is in the pay matrix of Uttar Pradesh Government. Level-6 (Pay Level-6) Comes within the scope of:

  • Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be paid Rs 35,400 to Rs. ₹1,12,400 per month Will be given a pay scale of Rs.

  • Additional Allowances: Apart from the basic salary, other government allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and medical facilities will also be payable as per the rules of the state government.

132 posts of Senior Instructor are distributed among various departments related to agriculture, technical and rural development:

  • Agricultural Engineering: 30 posts (most vacancies)

  • Plant Protection: 16 posts

  • Horticulture: 16 posts

  • Animal Husbandry: 14 posts

  • Agronomy: 12 posts

  • Women Welfare: 09 posts

  • Co-operation: 08 posts

  • Panchayati Raj: 08 posts

  • Soil Science: 08 posts

  • Agricultural Extension: 05 posts

  • public health: 03 posts

  • Production: 02 posts

  • Agriculture General: 01 post

To participate in this recruitment process, candidates must satisfy dual eligibility standards:

  • 1. UP PET Mandatory: to the applicant UPSSSC PET Must have a valid scorecard. Candidates will be shortlisted for Mains Exam only on the basis of normalized score of PET.

  • 2. Subject wise essential degree/diploma:


    • Agricultural Engineering: BE or B.Tech degree in Agricultural Engineering from recognized university.

    • Plant Protection/Agronomy/Soil Science/Horticulture: B.Sc (Agriculture) in the relevant subject or Masters (M.Sc Agriculture) degree with relevant specialization.

    • Animal Husbandry: Degree in Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH).

    • Production Position: Degree in Agricultural, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or 3 years Diploma in Related Engineering with prescribed work experience.

    • Women Welfare/Panchayat Raj/Cooperation: Graduation/Diploma in Sociology, Social Work (MSW), Economics or Public Administration.

  • Age Limit: Minimum age of the candidate as on 1st July 2026 21 years and maximum age 40 years There should be. Reserved category (OBC, SC, ST) and disabled candidates of Uttar Pradesh will be given relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age as per the rules of the state government.

  • Application Fee: Only for all categories (General, EWS, OBC, SC, ST and Women) at the time of initial application. Online processing fee of ₹25 Has been laid. After being shortlisted for the main examination, a separate examination fee will have to be deposited.

Candidates will be selected only on the basis of written main examination, document verification (DV) and medical examination. The format of the Main Examination will be as follows:

  • total in exam 100 Multiple Choice (MCQ) Questions will be asked and time will be 120 minutes (2 hours).

  • Division of Syllabus: 65 questions will be asked from Rural Development, Thematic Technical Knowledge and Data Interpretation, 15 questions from Computer and IT Applications and 20 questions from Uttar Pradesh General Knowledge (UP GK).

  • For every wrong answer in the exam Negative marking of 1/4 (25%) Will remain in force.
