Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow has released the official notification of direct recruitment for a total of 208 posts under the ‘Forensic Science Laboratory’ (FSL) department of the state. The process of online application for these posts has started from 27 July 2026. Post details and salary structure
Through this recruitment drive, appointments will be made in two different categories in Forensic Science Laboratory, Lucknow, in which attractive pay scales are being offered:

Who can apply? Know educational qualification
The Commission has set some mandatory eligibility conditions to participate in this recruitment process:

UPSSSC PET 2025 Scorecard: It is mandatory for the candidates to appear in the UPSSSC PET-2025 examination and hold a valid scorecard. Shortlisting of candidates for the main written examination will be done only on the basis of normalized score of PET-2025.

Academic Degree: The applicant must have a B.Sc degree in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology or Forensic Science from a recognized university.

For Computer Posts: Candidates holding B.Sc Computer Science, B.Tech or ‘A’ level diploma from NIELIT will also be considered eligible for posts with computer related expertise.
Age Limit and Nominal Application Fee

Age Limit: The minimum age of the candidate should be 21 years and maximum age should be 40 years as on 1st July 2026. Reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC) natives of Uttar Pradesh will be given relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit as per the rules of the state government.

Application Fee: The Commission has kept the application processing fee very normal for all categories of candidates. Application fee for all categories of candidates including General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) only. ₹25 has been fixed.
Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The final selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in the Main Written Exam. The main examination will be of total 100 marks, in which multiple choice (objective) questions will be asked. The syllabus of the examination will include Forensic Science and related subjects, Computer Technology and General Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh (UP GK).
