UPSC ESE Main Exam 2024 Time Table: Union Public Service Commission has released the time table of UPSC ESE Main Exam 2024. Candidates can check the datesheet of Engineering Services Main Exam 2024 on the official website of UPSC, upsc.gov.in.
The exam will be held in two shifts
As per the time table, the Mains exam will be conducted on June 23, 2024 in two shifts – first shift from 9 am to 12 noon and second shift from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The prelims exam was held on 18th February 2024. The result of which was released on 28 March 2024.

The first shift will be Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering {Discipline Specific Paper (Paper-I)} (Traditional, 3 hours duration) (300 marks) and the second shift will be Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics & Telecommunication. Engineering Engineering {Discipline Specific Paper (Paper-II)} examination will be conducted.
How long will the exam last?
This exam will be of 3 hours. In which questions of 300 marks will be asked.

Special changes made for photo upload
This time, many changes have been made in filling the form, like – the candidates who want to apply for this examination were clearly told that the photo given at the time of application should not be more than 10 days old. Along with this, the name of the candidate and the date of taking the photo should be clearly written on the photo. The photo will have to be taken in such a way that three-fourth of the candidate's face is covered in the photo. The scanned image of the uploaded photo and signature should be in JPG format.
Look cannot be changed after filling the form
According to the notification issued this time, while filling the form, your look should be the same in all three stages of the examination. If there is any change in your appearance you will not be allowed to take the examination. For example, if you upload photo with beard or glasses, your look should be same in Prelims, Mains (Retained) and Interview or Personality Test.
