Who are the five toppers of All India Rank?
In the result of UPSC Civil Services Exam 2023, Aditya Srivastava has secured All India Rank One and Animesh Pradhan is at second, PK Siddharth Ramkumar is at fourth while Ruhani is at fifth position.
347 general and 115 EWS selected
Out of 1016 candidates selected, 347 are from general category. 115 are from EWS category while 303 are OBC candidates. 165 SC and 86 ST candidates have been selected. The final results of Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Service, Group A and B are prepared on the basis of written examination and personality test.
180 selected for IAS
Out of 1016, 180 are for IAS. While 200 have been selected for IPS. Aditya Srivastava has achieved All India Rank 1. This year, UPSC interviews for the UPSC CSE- 2023 exam were conducted in three phases between January 2 and April 9. A total of 1026 candidates appeared in this personality test. UPSC CSE 2023 preliminary exam was held on May 28.
Success rate of women increased in 5 years
The percentage of women in UPSC Civil Services Examination has increased in the last 5 years. The pass percentage of women in 2018 and 2019 was 24%. In 2020 it reached 29%. Whereas in 2021 it decreased by 3 points to 26%. Apart from this, this figure will once again increase to 34% in 2022. Last year, 933 candidates were selected, of which 320 were women.
