Bangladesh Police arrested Chinmay Prabhu : After Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister and fled to India, Hindus are continuously being persecuted in Bangladesh. In the same sequence, Chittagong ISKCON Pundarik Dham President Chinmay Krishnan Das (Chinmay Prabhu) has been arrested there, after which anger spread among the people and protests started on the streets. ISKCON temple has said that Chinmoy Prabhu has been arrested by the officers of the Intelligence Branch of Dhaka Police from Dhaka Airport. After the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government, Chinmay Prabhu kept raising his voice on the issue of atrocities on Hindus. He addressed a huge rally in Rangpur on Friday.

There is anger among Hindus after Bangladesh Police arrested Chinmoy Prabhu. According to media reports, after his arrest, Hindus started violent protests and took to the streets. Some videos of Hindus are also going viral on social media, in which anger is being seen among them.
Atrocities on Bangladeshi Hindus after the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government
After the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government due to the violent student movement in Bangladesh, the minority Hindus living there are being targeted. During the movement, students targeted Hindus and temples. Then Chinmoy Prabhu had expressed concern about the security of Hindu temples. At that time he had said, ‘Three temples in Chittagong are in danger, although some people from Hindu and Muslim communities have come together to save the temples.’

He claimed, ‘Hindu society has requested for deployment of police and rapid action battalion in Chittagong, but no response has been received from them. Many Hindus and minorities fear that they are not safe and are fleeing to India via West Bengal and Tripura.
Bangladeshi Hindus unite to face oppression
After several attacks on Hindus and temples in Bangladesh, Bangladeshi Hindus have also united and protested. Thousands of Hindus in Chittagong took to the streets in violent protests in October demanding protection for their officers and security. Many Hindus gathered and demonstrated under the banner of Bangladeshi Sanatam Jagran Manch, in which they put forward their eight demands before the interim government of Professor Mohammad Yunus.
