There is an uproar regarding the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission examination. Protests are starting everywhere against the decision to conduct PCS-2024 and RO-ARO-2023 examinations in two days. Students demonstrated outside the Public Service Commission in protest against the two-day examination. In view of this, a large number of military personnel have been deployed outside the Commission since Monday morning. The candidates wanted to go to the Public Service Commission but when the police tried to stop them, a clash broke out with the students.
Police barricaded all the roads leading to the Commission in Prayagraj. During the demonstration, the competing students broke the barricades and reached the UP Public Service Commission. In such a situation, the police had to use force to drive them away. The protest is still going on and the students are not ready to accept it.
Protests were held earlier also
Earlier on October 21 also, thousands of candidates had surrounded the Public Service Commission and protested on the road regarding UPPSC Pre 2024 and RO/ARO 2023 Pre examination. During that time too, students had demonstrated demanding 'no normalization' and 'one day one shift'. With the removal of normalization, students are continuously demanding to conduct UPPSC and RO/ARO exams in the same shift as before.
Hash tag campaign started on social media
The students demand that both the preliminary examinations should be conducted on the same day and in the same shift. Students say that due to the examination being held in two shifts, they will have to bear the brunt of normalization. However, the Commission is planning to conduct the examination on two days and in two shifts to conduct the examination fairly. The competing students have also started a hashtag campaign on social media platform X regarding their demand.
