News India Live, Digital Desk: In today’s era, if you have mobile and internet in hand, no one knows when what will go viral. And if you are in Bihar, “Uncle is MLA” or “Do you know so and so brother?” You must have heard that dialogue. One such strange case has come to light from Samastipur in Bihar, which has created a stir in the railway administration.
The matter is of Khudiram Bose Pusa Railway Station. Here, a station master got so angry at some of the boys making reels that he not only gave up his position and dignity, he also took the name of the strong leader and threatened to “hit him”.
What happened after all?
The story is like this that some boys at the station were making reels (videos) with mobile phones. It is true that doing videography without permission in the station premises is against the rules. Being a responsible officer, the station master should have explained the rules to them or imposed a fine.
But, here the story changed. In the video going viral, it is seen that the station master lost his temper. Not only was he seen abusing those boys, but he also showcased his ‘background’.
“We are Munna Shukla’s nephew…”
Yes, this is the line that gave rise to this whole matter. In the video, the station master is purportedly heard saying, “We are Munna Shukla’s nephew…we will knock you down here.” Munna Shukla is a big and famous name in the politics of Bihar, who is considered a strong leader.
Now imagine, if a government employee, who is responsible for the safety of passengers and operation of the station, calls himself a “relative of Baahubali” and talks about shooting, then what will be the impact on the public?
Railways did not delay, took immediate action
The good thing is that social media has done its job. This video spread like wildfire and reached senior railway officials (DRM). The Railway Administration did not like this “hooligan style” at all.
As soon as the matter came to the fore, immediate action was taken. Samastipur Railway Board has removed that Assistant Station Master from duty and has instituted an inquiry into the matter. Officials say this type of behavior and threats while on duty will not be tolerated.
a lesson for everyone
This incident teaches that no matter how influential you are, or how powerful your relatives are, in a government job, decorum of conduct and language is supreme. The boys who made the reels were probably wrong, but threatening to “bang” them instead of correcting them has now cost the Station Master very dearly.
Now poor sir will face investigation, and that reel video is making waves on social media!
