Some members of Osmania University on Sunday demonstrated at the Jubilee Hills residence of Telugu actor Allu Arjun in Hyderabad and damaged property. After this incident, the police immediately took action and arrested eight members of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the university. The arrested persons were taken to Jubilee Hills Police Station, where they were interrogated.

On this incident, Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Jitendra said that all film personalities and other prominent persons should understand that the safety of citizens is of utmost importance. While talking to the media, the DGP clarified that the police has no personal grudge against anyone, but it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure the safety of the citizens of the state.
DGP told reporters in Karimnagar,
“They may be heroes in films, but in real life they have to understand the problems of the society. The promotion of a film cannot be more important than the safety of citizens.”

Earlier this month, a stampede broke out during the screening of “Pushpa 2: The Rule” at a cinema hall in Hyderabad. A woman died and her eight-year-old son was injured in this accident. Allu Arjun, who was present in the theater at that time, was detained for investigation in this matter. However, he later got interim bail from the High Court.
