According to the incident, a large number of students were waiting for the train at Pataliputra station to appear in a competitive examination. Patna Police and Railway Administration have deep suspicion that some outside anarchist elements were involved in fueling this entire violence. According to the investigating officers, the sudden anger of such a large number of students and the gathering of bricks and stones for stoning points towards a big network. Police are now examining the dump data of mobile towers that were active at the time of the incident. Besides, WhatsApp groups, Telegram channels and social media posts related to the students of many coaching institutes are being monitored to find out whether the crowd was instigated by circulating any message in advance for this uproar.

RPF and local police on alert, security tightened at Patna stations

After this horrific uproar, security arrangements have been tightened at all the major stations under Danapur Railway Division, especially Patna Junction, Rajendra Nagar Terminal and Patliputra Station. Additional contingents of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and GRP have been deployed at sensitive platforms. Police have started scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed at the station to identify the miscreants. Danapur Railway Division officials say that no culprit will be spared and strict legal action is being taken against those who damage government property and put the lives of passengers at risk.
