UP PCS Exam 2024 New Date: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has postponed the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (Preliminary) Examination 2024 i.e. UP PCS Examination and has released the new exam date. After four days of protest by the candidates outside the UPPSC headquarters in Prayagraj, the Commission has accepted the demand of the candidates for ‘one day one shift’. Now this examination will be conducted in a single day. The Commission has given this information by issuing a notice on its official website.
The latest notice released on the official website of UPPSC uppsc.up.nic.in reads, ‘Combined State/Superior Subordinate Services (Preliminary) Examination 2024 which was to be conducted over two days on 7th and 8th December 2024, will now be held on 22nd December 2024. It will be conducted in two sessions in a day. The first shift will be conducted from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and the second shift will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. More than 10 lakh (10,76,004) candidates are expected to appear in this examination.
UP PCS exam postponed for the fourth time
According to the exam calendar released by UPPSC, the UP PCS Preliminary Exam 2024 was earlier scheduled to be held on March 17, but due to the leak of RO/ARO paper on February 11, five exams including PCS were postponed. After this, the PCS examination to be held in June and then in October was postponed. Now it was to be held on 7th and 8th December, which has been postponed (for the fourth time) after the performance of the candidates. Now this exam will be held on 22 December 2024.
When will UP RO/ARO Recruitment Exam be held?
After the intervention of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Commission has accepted the demand of the candidates for removal of ‘one day one shift’ and normalization. After this decision, the Commission has made an official announcement by issuing a notice on its official website. However, the Commission has not yet given any information about the exam date of UP PCS and RO/ARO. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the website for latest updates.
