Prayagraj, July 15 (HS). The newly appointed General Manager of North Central Railway Upendra Joshi took charge on Monday and said that all the infrastructure related works for Kumbh will be completed within the appropriate time frame. Adequate number of additional special trains will be run so that the pilgrims coming to Kumbh in Prayagraj do not face any inconvenience.
He said that in the last 10 years, there has been a remarkable improvement on the infrastructure and passenger amenities front. Due to the public's inclination towards these efforts, the customer interface has improved significantly. The behavior of the employees has also improved, earlier they used to work only for the railways, now our frontline employees work to provide the best services to the esteemed customers. Currently, we have the challenge of providing real-time response to our customers, we all should try to deal with the challenge and ensure timely redressal of queries and complaints.
Upendra Joshi's journey so far
Upendra Joshi, who was the Principal Chief Operating Manager in Northern Railway, has taken over as the General Manager in North Central Railway. Upendra Joshi is a 1988 batch officer and has served in various capacities in Indian Railways. Upendra Joshi started his railway service as Assistant Operating Manager, Samastipur. After that he worked as DOM and DCM Lucknow.
Thereafter posted as Senior DOM Varanasi and Izzatnagar Divisions respectively. He has also worked as Deputy Chief Operations Manager and Deputy Chief Commercial Manager in Northeast Frontier Railway. Then he also worked as Deputy Chief Operations Manager and Senior DCM Jodhpur in North Western Headquarters.
