Dehradun, 19 October (HS). Two matches were played in the semi-finals of Uttarakhand Health Premier League Cricket Tournament. In the first match, UPCL, playing on the theme of Non-Communicable Diseases – Aaj Se Aad Se, Oil, Sugar and Salt, defeated the Income Tax Department by 50 runs.
UPCL batted first and scored 191 runs in 20 overs. While chasing the target, Income Tax Department collapsed for 141 runs. Due to which UPCL won the match by 50 runs and made its place in the final. On behalf of UPCL, Mukesh Kumar bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets for 31 runs in four overs, for which he was awarded Man of the Match.
In the semi-final match, chief guest Dr. Trupti Bahuguna, Health Advisor said that this match was played on the theme of non-communicable diseases. He said that non-communicable diseases are those diseases which do not spread from one person to another, but they have a deep impact on health.
Whereas in the second match of the semi-final, CMOs were playing on the theme of Child Health – Give ORS solution, drive away diarrhea. Kings 11 NHM playing on the theme of complete vaccination-show wisdom, get the child completely vaccinated. Defeated Warriors by 05 wickets.
NHM won the toss and elected to bat first. Warriors scored only 121 runs in twenty overs. In response to which CMO Kings 11 chased the target in 16.2 overs and won the match by 05 wickets. Abhimanyu Singh became the man of the match for his team. Along with this, CMO Kings 11 advanced to the finals.
Uttarakhand Health Premier League Cricket Tournament's final match Non-communicable diseases – slightly less than today, UPCL and child health – ORS playing on the theme of oil, sugar and salt. CMO Kings 11 will be played at Maharana Pratap Sports College on Sunday at 11 am on the theme of 'Pilaao Ghol, drive away diarrhoea'. The match will be telecast live on YouTube channel Set Sports.
