UP Weather Today: Alert of torrential rain in UP from July 27, know the weather of Lucknow, Kanpur and Noida.

After the lull in monsoon activities in Uttar Pradesh for the last few days, the weather is going to take a turn once again. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), monsoon activity will increase again in the state from July 27, due to which there is a possibility of good rain in many districts. Heavy rains may be recorded especially in Terai areas and eastern Uttar Pradesh.

On July 26, the maximum temperature in the state during the day will remain around 34°C to 36°C, while the minimum temperature is expected to be between 28°C to 29°C.

Rain will increase between 27th and 30th July

According to Atul Kumar Singh (Senior Scientist, Zonal Meteorological Centre), rainfall activities will increase due to the northward shift of the monsoon trough and the strengthening of the low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. Due to its effect, there are chances of widespread rainfall in most parts of eastern and western Uttar Pradesh during July 27 to 30.

At the same time, there is no major alert of heavy rain in the state on July 26. However, the weather will change from July 27 and intermittent rains will provide relief to people from the scorching heat and humidity, and this rain will also prove beneficial for agriculture.

Today’s weather condition in major cities

• Lucknow: The effect of humidity will remain throughout the day in the capital Lucknow. It will be partly cloudy in the afternoon and the probability of light showers with thunderstorms can be up to 50% by evening/night.

• Kanpur: There will be light clouds in the city since morning. The maximum temperature can go up to 36°C, but due to high humidity the heat index will be felt higher. Light rain with thunder is expected during the night.

• Noida and Delhi-NCR: There will be movement of sunshine and clouds. Scattered rain may be recorded in some areas with strong winds around noon.

• Varanasi: Even today, scorching heat and humidity can cause trouble in Purvanchal. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 37°C. There may be local showers with thunderstorms during the afternoon.
