The weather patterns are seen changing once again in many areas of Uttar Pradesh. Due to the effect of the low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal and the moist winds coming from there, there is a cloud cover in the eastern and southern parts of the state. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), while there are chances of light to moderate rain and thundershowers in some districts amid the movement of monsoon winds, sunshine has started blooming in many parts due to the decrease in monsoon activities. After the torrential rains in the past few days, the weather pattern now seems to be divided into two different forms – clouds and drizzle are continuing in eastern Uttar Pradesh, while the effect of dry weather and humidity is increasing in the western division.
According to the forecast of Weather Center Lucknow, there is a possibility of intermittent showers due to the activity of monsoon winds in the districts of Purvanchal. Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Kushinagar, Maharajganj and Basti will remain partly cloudy and one or two spells of light to moderate rain with thundershowers may be recorded. Along with this, sporadic showers have also been expected in the areas of Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, Mirzapur and Sonbhadra. However, meteorologists say that now there is no widespread red alert of heavy or very heavy rain in eastern UP, but due to local weather system and cloud accumulation, sudden heavy showers may occur at some places.
Talking about Western Uttar Pradesh, there has been a significant reduction in rainfall activities in the surrounding districts including Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Meerut, Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida). According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be mainly dry at most places in the western division and there are chances of strong sunshine. Due to sunshine and excess moisture in the air, the day temperature may rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, due to which people may have to face humid heat. However, due to local convection, movement of clouds may be seen at isolated places in Agra and surrounding Braj region in the afternoon, but chances of widespread rainfall are less at present.
According to meteorologists, a slight increase in monsoon activities may once again be seen in the state from September 11, which is indicative of the beginning of good rains again in the districts of Terai and Eastern UP. In view of the current weather, agricultural experts have advised farmers to make proper drainage arrangements in the fields and keep in mind the local weather updates before spraying pesticides. At the same time, amidst the humid weather and suddenly changing mood, passengers have also been advised to keep an eye on the weather conditions during the journey.
