UPPSC PCS Exam 2024: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has postponed the preliminary examination of PCS 2024. This examination was first proposed to be conducted in June and then in October this year. For this, the date of October 27 was fixed, but now this examination will be conducted in mid-December. This information has been given by the Commission's Examination Controller Harsh Dev.

Controller of Examinations Harsh Dev said that it has been decided to conduct the preliminary examination of PCS 2024 (UP PCS Pre Exam 2024) this time in December. The examination will be conducted till 15th December. At present, tentative dates for the examination have been fixed for December 7 and 8.

Two dates were fixed for PCS Pre Exam in the examination calendar released this year by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. The Commission had decided to conduct this examination on June 3 and again on October 27. The examination could not be held on these dates. Now a new date has been fixed.
What is UP PCS exam?
UP PCS exam is exactly like UPSC Civil Services exam. On passing UPSC exam, people become IAS officers, who are appointed as District Magistrate or similar posts. After passing the UPPSC exam, people become PCS officers, who are appointed to posts like Sub-District Magistrate, Additional City Magistrate and Tehsildar.
