Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has already started laying its political cards for the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. A very important and marathon meeting of the BJP Core Group has been called today at the party’s state headquarters in Lucknow. This high-level meeting is being commanded by the party’s National Organization General Secretary BL Santosh and National General Secretary and Uttar Pradesh in-charge Vinod Tawde.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, both Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, State President Bhupendra Chaudhary and State Organization General Secretary Dharampal Singh and selected top leaders of the core group are present in the meeting. According to party sources, this meeting is not limited to just a general organizational review, but it will form the basis of a three-tier roadmap to be prepared to make a ‘hat-trick’ of UP victory.
The most prominent point of the agenda of the meeting is to make the coordination between power and organization impenetrable till the grassroots level:
-
Concern about the dignity of workers: The core group is seriously discussing the issue of ensuring timely disposal of complaints and suggestions of party workers at the governance and administration level.
-
Districts in charge of ministers: A framework is being prepared for the government ministers to inspect the government schemes during their visits to the districts as well as have mandatory communication with local organization officials, divisional presidents and booth in-charges.
-
Accountability of Officers: To ensure that there is no negligence in the public welfare programs directly related to the public, a consensus is being reached to sharpen the mutual communication between the administrative machinery and the public representatives.
To deal with the aggressive campaigning and caste mobilization of the opposition alliance (PDA), the BJP core group has started a fresh review of social equations:
-
Non-Yadav OBC and Dalit Vote Bank: Special contact campaigns are being designed to deepen the party’s hold among non-Yadav backward castes, extremely backward and non-Jatav Dalit communities from Western UP to Purvanchal.
-
Vacancies in Corporations and Commissions: The immediate deployment of party workers and social representatives in various state commissions, corporations, boards and committees, which have been pending for a long time, can be approved so that dissatisfaction can be completely eliminated.
-
Direct contact with beneficiary category: In order to keep the beneficiaries of schemes like free ration, housing, Kisan Samman Nidhi and Ujjwala of the Central and State Government continuously connected, ‘Beneficiary Conferences’ are being planned in every assembly constituency.
The upcoming organizational changes of the party will also be finalized in the presence of BL Santosh and Vinod Tawde:
-
Reconstitution of booth level committees: Under the ‘Mera Booth Sabse Strong’ campaign, weak and inactive booths will be identified and responsibility will be given to new and active workers there.
-
Reshuffle at district and regional level: In the districts where the performance of the organization has been relatively slow, the exercise of organizational restructuring and bringing forward new energetic faces will be intensified.
-
Activism of Youth and Mahila Morcha: Mahila Morcha and Youth Wing will be assigned the task of organizing large movements and public meetings in the coming months to increase the reach of schemes through social media, digital outreach and to half the population (women voters).
This general meeting being held in Lucknow has given a clear indication that BJP is not taking the 2027 elections lightly under any circumstances. This combination of the administrative status of CM Yogi Adityanath and the election strategy of the central organization will emerge as major organizational steps in the politics of Uttar Pradesh in the coming days.
