This time the Samajwadi Party and Congress alliance has made a strong comeback in UP. Last year both the parties got only 6 seats. This time this figure has reached 45. On the basis of all the polls so far, BJP has got 33 seats. On the other hand, SP is leading on 37 seats. Congress is leading on 7 and RLD on 2 and Apna Dal on 1 seat. However, there are many seats where the margin of victory is only 5 thousand. That is, these seats can prove to be helpful in turning the tables.
1- Kanpur
Kanpur seat of Uttar Pradesh came into the limelight when BJP cut the ticket of Satyadev Pachauri and fielded journalist Ramesh Awasthi. Congress has made the contest more interesting by giving ticket to Alok Mishra on this seat. There is a close contest on this seat. Sometimes Congress and sometimes BJP candidates are seen taking lead on this seat.
2- Salempur
There is a tough competition between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Samajwadi Party on the Salempur seat. Here BJP has fielded two-time MP Ravindra Kushwaha, while Ramshankar Rajbhar is in the fray from the SP. The contest between these two candidates was so close that the lead margin reached only 70. BJP's Ravindra Kushwaha is ahead of Samajwadi Party's Ramshankar Rajbhar by 321 votes.
3- Farrukhabad
Samajwadi Party's Dr. Naval Kishore Shakya is leading by 359 votes over BJP's Mukesh Rajput.
4- Muzaffarnagar
SP's Harendra Singh Malik is ahead of BJP's Sanjeev Kumar Baliyan by 1383 votes.
