UP Electricity Record: UP comes out ahead in the country! Created a new history by supplying record 30,598 MW electricity.

Under the able leadership and guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the power infrastructure of Uttar Pradesh is continuously touching new heights. On the strength of better management, strong infrastructure and continuous monitoring, Uttar Pradesh has today become the leading state in providing uninterrupted power supply in the entire country. In terms of record electricity supply, industrialized and developed states like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana have also lagged far behind Uttar Pradesh.

According to the recently recorded data, a record in the state on July 12 30,598 megawatts (MW) Electricity was supplied successfully. Apart from this, 30,457 MW electricity was made available on 14 July, 29,827 MW on 13 July, 29,041 MW on 11 July and 26,571 MW on 10 July. This was the highest power supply given by any state in the entire country during this period, which shows the visionary energy policy and commitment of the Yogi government.

Villages are getting more electricity than scheduled

During the summer and monsoon seasons, where the demand for electricity increases unexpectedly, the Yogi government has made such arrangements that common consumers do not face any problem. In the rural areas of the state, electricity is being provided for more than the prescribed roster of 18 hours. Special arrangements have been made to provide 24 hours electricity without any cut in cities, tehsil headquarters and industrial areas. Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) teams are monitoring the system 24 hours across the state.

Departmental teams engaged day and night in maintenance work.

Departmental officials are continuously inspecting the field to immediately rectify any local fault in the power system. Wherever technical problems are arising due to strong winds, storm and rain during monsoon, strict instructions have been given to fix them in minimum time. To protect the electrical wires from damage, regular pruning of tree branches growing near the lines is being done.

UPPCL appeals to general public: Be careful

UPPCL and Additional Chief Secretary Energy and Chairman Dr. Ashish Kumar Goyal have made a special appeal to the citizens to prevent electrical accidents during the rainy season:

• Maintain a safe distance from waterlogged areas, electric poles, transformers and broken wires.

• Report any emergency or technical glitch immediately to the toll-free helpline number 1912 or to the nearest electricity office.

The government clearly says that vigilance is being taken at every level so that quality electricity continues to reach the last person of the state without any interruption.
