UP Elections 2027: BJP’s special strategy, big move to attract OBC and Kurmi votes

In view of the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, political activity has intensified. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fully geared up to strengthen its electoral ground. This time the entire focus of the party is on consolidating the social equations of the state and especially the votes of the backward castes (OBC). To implement this strategy, the party high command has made major changes at the organizational level, due to which the electoral contest is likely to become more interesting.

Vinod Tawde and Jagdish Patel got important responsibility

Giving a boost to its election preparations, the Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed the party’s national general secretary Vinod Tawde as the new party in-charge of Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, former Gujarat MLA Jagdish Patel has been made co-in-charge of Uttar Pradesh. Political analysts believe that by fielding these two experienced leaders, BJP has played a big bet as part of a well-thought-out strategy, so that its grip at the grassroots level within the organization can be further strengthened.

Focus on Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Kurmi community

The main objective behind this new appointment of BJP is to unite the influential Kurmi ethnic community falling under Other Backward Class (OBC) in its favor. In the political circles of Uttar Pradesh, the Kurmi community is considered a decisive vote bank, which has the ability to decide victory or defeat on many assembly seats. Through these two senior leaders, the party is trying to strengthen its hold within this class so that it can overcome the electoral dilemma.

Strengthening of election management and organization at the grassroots level

These new in-charges and co-in-charges of the party will visit various districts of the state and coordinate with the local workers. The responsibility of activating the organization from booth level to district level will be on the shoulders of these veterans. To counter the social engineering and caste manipulation of the opposition parties, BJP is now laying special emphasis on micro-management and balancing of social equations, due to which the coming elections are expected to be very interesting.
