UP DElEd Admission 2026: Last chance for admission in UP DElEd, revised schedule of institution options and counseling released; Fill your choices by 7th October

The last and biggest opportunity has been given by the Examination Regulatory Authority (ERA), Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj for thousands of D.El.Ed (formerly BTC) candidates who are looking forward to becoming teachers in primary schools of Uttar Pradesh. Even after the first and second phase of counseling held earlier for admission in session 2026, a revised timetable has been issued to fill the seats left vacant in private and diet institutions. In view of the continuous requests that the office is receiving from the candidates and teachers unions, this special Phase-3 counseling window has been opened on the instructions of the government. Under this, all those candidates from State Rank 01 to 1,52,202, who could not be allotted any institute in the first and second phase or who had not selected the institute earlier, have been allowed to fill college options. The link to fill institution option is active on the official portal updeled.gov.in and candidates have limited time available till October 7 to complete the process.

For the convenience of the candidates, the Office of the Examination Regulatory Authority has released clear details of the phased dates:

  • Time limit for choice filling of institute: 05 October to 07 October (up to 06:00 pm).

  • Announcement of Seat Allotment Result: 08 October.

  • Process of Document Verification (DV) and Admission in the allotted institute: 09 October to 14 October (up to 05:00 pm).

  • Last date for online locking of data of students admitted by training institutes: October 15. The authority has made it clear that the portal will automatically close after the evening of October 7, after which no new phase of counseling will be conducted for this session.

The most important feature of this last phase is that under the rules of the government, the seats of reserved category (OBC, SC, ST and special reservation category) which remained vacant in the earlier phases, have been converted into unreserved (General/Unreserved) seats as per the rules. This has significantly increased the chances of getting the college of choice for the general category as well as meritorious candidates of all categories. Complete details of the remaining seats in all the self-financed private colleges of the state, including the District Education and Training Institutes (DIET) of Lucknow, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Meerut, Varanasi and Gorakhpur, have been made available on the official website through the ‘Vacant Seats’ link, so that students can decide the priority of their options by seeing the availability of seats.

Candidates can select their preferred institutes in these easy steps through their mobile or computer sitting at home:

  1. First of all go to the official website of UP D.El.Ed, updeled.gov.in.

  2. Available on homepage ‘D.El.Ed Admission’ Click on the ‘Choice Filling’ option under the tab.

  3. Login by entering your course, registration number, one-time PIN (OTP) and captcha code in the prescribed boxes.

  4. If the mandatory advance allotment fee of ₹5,000 has not been deposited earlier, complete the payment through online mode.

  5. Add as many colleges as you can in the order of your preference from the list of institutions shown on the screen.

  6. After checking the options thoroughly, click on ‘Lock Choices’ and keep the printout of the filled form safe for future. If candidates do not lock the options by the deadline, the system will automatically lock the last saved options.

After seat allotment, students have been advised to take several strict precautions to ensure admission. After the allotment result is declared on 8th October, selected students should immediately download their allotment letter. After this, go to the concerned college between 09 to 14 October and get the original mark sheets of high school, intermediate, graduation, caste certificate, residence certificate, special reservation certificate, Aadhar card and medical fitness certificate done physically verified. The most important thing is that it is mandatory for the concerned institute to lock the student’s admission online on the state level portal by 15th October. If the college administration does not lock your admission online on the portal by the due date, your admission will be declared invalid, for which the entire responsibility will be of the student and the institute.
