UP 5th largest exporter state, major contribution of Bhadohi carpet: Chief Minister


Lucknow, 4 October. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday shared the story of development of Uttar Pradesh with the people of the state. On his social media account ‘X’, CM wrote that Bhadohi’s talent earlier used to find its way, but today the government is opening new doors of development, market and opportunity for him. The state’s exports have increased almost 2.27 times in the last 10 years and have crossed ₹ 2 lakh crore. Uttar Pradesh is the 5th largest exporter state of the country. Bhadohi carpet has a big contribution in this export.

Bhadohi carpet is proving the talent of UP
CM wrote, the hands which with their skill brought Bhadohi carpet to the world, before the year 2017, the same hands kept waiting for basic facilities and opportunities. Today, the same skills are being linked to development and the global market in the double engine government. Today, the demand for hand-made Bhadohi carpets is highest in the world, which is proving the talent of Uttar Pradesh on the global stage.

Communication with exporters, sellers and entrepreneurs
The Chief Minister said that today he will inaugurate the golden jubilee edition of Asia’s largest international handmade carpet trade fair ‘India Carpet Expo’ and will interact with exporters, sellers and entrepreneurs of the carpet industry. Respect to the hands of the artisan, expansion to the enterprise, employment to the youth and prosperity to Bhadohi, this is the new identity of the confluence of heritage and development in the new Uttar Pradesh.

Three assembly constituencies will get the gift of development
The Chief Minister wrote that on this occasion, Bhadohi, Aurai and Gyanpur assembly constituencies will get the gift of 112 development projects worth more than Rs 1,340 crore and benefits will be provided to the beneficiaries of various schemes.
