Untimely rain havoc: Deadly battle in Bengaluru and Himachal, five died

Bengaluru: Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka and the country’s IT hub, was flooded due to heavy rains. It rained again on Monday morning, causing water to many lower houses. The Meteorological Department had issued a warning of heavy rain in the city. Three people have died in various rain -related incidents in the city. Bangalore city received 105.5 mm of rain till 8.30 am on Monday. There was heavy rains on Sunday as well. Bangalore was flooded due to two consecutive days of rain. The city remained submerged for hours. Due to heavy rains, the streets of the city were flooded to the waist, causing many vehicles to be stuck and a situation of heavy traffic jams arose. The Meteorological Department has said that the weather is likely to change on 22 May and a low pressure area will develop. Due to which there will be heavy rains in the coastal areas of Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra. There is also a risk of floods due to heavy rains along with thunderstorms.

Employees and other staff of other companies, including IT, are facing huge difficulties due to waterlogging in many places in Bengaluru. In the midst of this situation, BJP MP PC Mohan has urged companies to adopt a policy of working from home and allow employees to work from home until the situation improves. The basement of various buildings has also caused heavy floods, causing two people to die due to lightning while trying to get them out. Due to which both died. One of the dead is 63 years old while the other is 12 years old. A woman died after a wall collapsed of an IT company. Industries were badly affected due to heavy rains in Bengaluru. Meanwhile, citizens also faced great difficulty. There are reports of many people being trapped due to floods at various places. Relief and rescue teams have been deployed to save people.

On the other hand, Chamoli in Uttarakhand also received heavy rainfall. The effect of heavy rains was also seen on the Badrinath road and the movement of vehicles on the road bridge was stalled for hours. Due to this heavy rains, many vehicles got stuck in mud with water. Some markets also remained closed. However, the Badrinath road was later opened and traffic became smooth. Currently Chardham Yatra is going on, so a large number of pilgrims are coming. Apart from Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, Joshimath and Auli were also affected by the rain disaster. Chardham Yatra was affected due to heavy rains.
