Union Minister Scindia held a meeting with Chief Minister Dr Sarma at Janata Bhavan

Guwahati, July 13 (HS). Union DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia held a meeting with Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma at Janata Bhavan in Dispur on Saturday.

After the meeting, Scindia wrote on Twitter, “We (Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia) had an important meeting with Assam CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma at Janata Bhawan today. The meeting focused on several issues such as improving digital infrastructure in Assam with expansion of 4G, 5G and high speed internet services, creating a way to develop skilled human resources for telecom infrastructure services and adopting latest technologies to ensure quick reconnection of networks in recently flood affected areas.”

Earlier in the morning, after the events in Shillong, Union Minister Scindia said, “I had an important meeting with my team at the North Eastern Council to discuss strategies for Vision 2047. It deliberated on strategies for creating new development models for the Northeast region, exploring new avenues of trade and commerce with neighbours and developing world-class infrastructure to fulfill the dream of a developing Northeast.”

Scindia returned to New Delhi on Saturday after concluding his two-day visit to the Northeast.
