Raipur, 28 September (HS). Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil has said that the Modi government, while starting the cleanliness campaign in 2014, has worked so much on it that there has been widespread awareness among the people about cleanliness.

Union Minister CR Patil, who reached Raipur on Saturday morning, said while talking to journalists that it has been 10 years since the Modi government. The cleanliness campaign was started in 2014 and a lot of work has been done on it. There has been awareness among the people.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, who was present with the Union Minister, said that the initiative taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding cleanliness has today taken the form of a mass movement. Every person has become aware about cleanliness through public participation.

Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, General Secretary Sanjay Srivastava, BJP District President Jayanti Patel, Pritesh Gandhi welcomed him at Swami Vivekananda Airport. Union Minister Patil will be on Chhattisgarh tour today. He will participate in the Swachhta Hi Seva program in village Barga of Rajnandgaon. After this he will leave for village Amlidih, where he will inspect the Plastic Waste Management Unit and discuss with the Swachhata Didis.
