New Delhi/Raipur, September 13 (HS). Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Tokhan Sahu spoke about making the Mahamaya Temple Corridor in Ratanpur, Chhattisgarh grand. Replicating the monumental developments seen in Ayodhya, Kashi and Mahakal, the minister has pledged similar transformation for the eleventh century Mahamaya temple.
Sahu called a meeting with the officials of National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) at Nirman Bhawan today on Friday, 13 September. K.P. Mahadevaswamy, CMD (NBCC), R.N. Shina, CGM (NBCC) were present in the meeting with their team and they gave information about the detailed plan in the meeting. Earlier, keeping in mind the faith of crores of people of the state, Minister of State Sahu had demanded to build a corridor in Ratanpur and also met Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
He said the Mahamaya temple of Ratanpur is extremely important from a historical and cultural point of view. Minister of State Sahu said, “Our aim is to develop this holy site in a way that respects its rich history and enhances its image across the country.” NBCC presented a development plan for the Mahamaya Temple Corridor. And to ensure that the grandeur of the temple matches its amenities.
The development plan includes extensive infrastructure development: Jyoti Kaksha, Bhagwat Manch, prayer hall, offices, museum, improved facilities for visitors such as hotels, shops, and enhanced accessibility with multiple parking areas. Minister Sahu's vision is to elevate Mahamaya Temple as a major spiritual destination. The initiative aims to not only preserve the historic temple but also provide a revitalized and enriching experience to visitors. This will give a huge boost to religious tourism in the state.
