Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya today participated in the business conference organized on the positive provisions of Budget 2026-27 at Vishwasrairiya Auditorium. Taking a positive stance on the major suggestions received from traders in the conference, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the government will seriously consider suggestions like simplification of GST, bringing petroleum and electricity under the ambit of GST, stability in tax slabs, strengthening credit access, participation of traders in skill development and extending the benefits of digital infrastructure to small traders.

On this occasion, Honorable MLA Shri Pankaj Singh ji, Metropolitan President Shri Anand Dwivedi ji, Metropolitan Vice President Shri Dhanshyam Aggarwal ji, State Convenor Business Cell Shri Vineet Aggarwal ji and other senior dignitaries participated.

Highlighting the major positive aspects of the budget, he said that the allocation of ₹ 10,000 crore for SME Growth Fund to support MSMEs and small traders and increase of ₹ 2,000 crore in ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Fund’ will reduce the cash crunch of the industries. “This Budget is not just an accounting of figures, but a roadmap to recognize the hard work of businessmen towards a ‘Developed India’. Moving forward with policy stability and simple processes, India will soon become the third largest economy in the world.

Referring to the relief in MAT, Shri Maurya said that reducing the Minimum Alternate Tax from 15% to 14% and considering it as the final tax will provide great relief to medium level traders and companies. The capital expenditure of Rs 12.2 lakh crore will strengthen infrastructure, reduce logistics costs and make movement of goods faster and cheaper through the Surat-Dankuni freight corridor and 20 new waterways. Also, removal of ₹10 lakh limit for courier exports will open up the global market for e-commerce and small exporters.
