Many youth from Punjab go abroad in search of a better future for their families. They first go there to study and after studying they also get employment, but sometimes something happens to the youth abroad, which no one has even imagined. One such unfortunate news has come from Canada, where a Punjabi woman died of a heart attack. The deceased has been identified as Gurmeet Kaur of Bhadaur district.
In this regard, the deceased's father Paramjit Singh said that Gurmeet Kaur had done IELTS. She got married two and a half years ago in Bathinda. After which she went to study in Surrey (Canada) on 29 December 2023 to earn a living. Now she had completed one semester.
He said that she was upset due to not getting work along with studies. He said that on September 1, he received a call from the girls living with Gurmeet Kaur that Gurmeet had died of a heart attack last night. He appealed to the government to help bring Gurmeet's body to Bhadaur city so that he could see his daughter for the last time and perform her last rites.
