PM Vishwakarma Scheme: The Central Government launched PM Vishwakarma Yojana in September, 2023 to provide financial assistance to artisans and craftsmen in business. In which loans are provided by the government at affordable rates. Small traders and artisans get financial assistance as these loans are available at very nominal rates.
Many people have benefited under this scheme in the last one year. Recently, while replying to this in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary said that in the last one year, the benefits of PM Vishwakarma Yojana have reached 2.02 lakh people and loans worth Rs 1,751 crore have been given.

PM Vishwakarma Yojana has been designed keeping in mind the artisans and craftsmen. The scheme covers 18 traditional workers, including carpenters, boat makers, blacksmiths, hammer and tool makers, goldsmiths, potters, stone workers, cobblers, masons, carpet, broom and basket makers, washermen, tailors, fishmongers, Net makers etc. are included.
Loan up to Rs 3 lakh at affordable rates
Under PM Vishwakarma Yojana, a maximum loan of Rs 3 lakh is available. On which 5 percent interest has to be paid. The loan amount is disbursed to the beneficiary in two installments. In the first phase a loan of Rs 1 lakh is given and in the second phase a loan of Rs 2 lakh is given.

PM Vishwakarma Yojana can be applied online through the official website pmvishwakarma.gov.in. In the website, you will have to click on the Apply Online option and after filling the required information, you will have to complete the registration. For registration, the beneficiary is required to have Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Income Certificate, Identity Card, Residence Certificate and Bank Passbook.
