Bihar Sharif, August 28 (HS). Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar distributed cheques to the dependents of the deceased on Wednesday among the beneficiaries under disaster management at Bihar Sharif headquarters under Nalanda district. On this occasion, he said that the Bihar government provides financial assistance of Rs. 4 lakhs to disaster-affected families. The state government has always been running schemes for poor families and disaster-affected families. The disaster-affected people have their first right on the state treasury.
The state government should ensure that there is no delay in providing disaster relief funds to the people affected by the disaster in the district. On the spot, in the camp, minister Shraban Kumar gave a cheque of Rs 4 lakh to the deceased Rani Kumari, wife of Shivkumar Singh alias Bakhori Singh of Kul village and the dependent husband of the deceased Madhuri Devi, Ramesh Kumar. Both the women died due to drowning in water. Both the women are said to be residents of Nagma village of Deepnagar police station area.
