New Delhi, August 22 (HS). Sainath Pardhi won the second medal for India at the Under-17 World Wrestling Championship in Amman, Jordan on Wednesday when he won bronze with a 3-1 win over Yerasil Musan of Kazakhstan in the men's 51 kg Greco-Roman category. Pardhi had entered the medal bout by defeating USA's Munareto Domenic Michael 7-1 in the repechage round.
Four Indian women wrestlers reached the finals-
In the 43kg category, Aditi Kumari defeated Aleksandra Berezovskaya 8-2 to enter the gold medal match and will now face Maria El Gika of Greece. Aditi entered the knockouts with impressive performances against Ukraine's Caroline Shaparik (10-0) and Mariam Mohamed Abdelal (4-2).
In the 57kg semi-final, Neha defeated Kazakhstan's Anna Stratan 8-4 and will now face Japan's So Tsutsui. Neha made it to the semi-finals without losing a point as she pinned Greek opponent Mary Mani and then won by technical superiority against Georgia's Miranda Kapanadze.
In the 65kg category, Pulkit won 3-0 over Maram Ibrahim Aly of Egypt and will face Daria Frolova in the final. Earlier, Pulkit defeated Ling Cai of China for a 'Win by Fall' and then registered a stunning 9-0 win against Juliana Catanzaro.
Meanwhile, Mansi Lather, competing in the 73kg category, won by fall against Kristina Demchuk of Ukraine with a score of 12-2 and will face Hanna Pirskaya for the gold medal.
World number two Raunak easily defeated Turkey's Emrullah Capcan 6-1 in the Greco-Roman bronze medal play-off on Tuesday night to win India's first medal of the championship.
In the semi-finals he lost to silver medallist Zoltan Szako of Hungary. The gold medal was won by Ivan Yankovsky of Ukraine, who defeated Szako on technical superiority.
