Uncontrolled dumper hits auto in Sidhi, MP, four dead, three injured

Sidhi, 19 November (Hindustan Reporter). A speeding dumper hit an auto rickshaw full of passengers at 3 pm on Tuesday afternoon near village Badhaura under Churhat police station area on National Highway-39 in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. In this accident, four people including mother, daughter and one year old granddaughter died on the spot while three people were seriously injured, who have been admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa. The police is investigating the case. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed grief over the accident and has also given instructions to provide financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased.

According to the police, the incident took place in village Badhaura, about 15 kilometers from Sidhi district headquarters. The auto rickshaw was going from Sidhi towards Churhat carrying seven people. At the same time, a dumper coming at high speed from Rewa hit the auto. Due to this the auto rickshaw overturned and four people traveling in it died on the spot. At the same time, three people have been seriously injured.

Semaria outpost in-charge SI Vikas Singh said that four people have died in the accident. The deceased have been identified as Premwati Tiwari (45), her daughter Sita Tiwari (25), granddaughter Bittu Tiwari (1 year) and Bhole Tiwari (37), residents of village Badhaura. Meanwhile, Mohit Rawat (22), Rajneesh Tiwari (46) and a one and a half year old child have been injured.

He told that after the accident the dumper driver fled from the spot. Told people that a large crowd had gathered at the spot during the accident. Taking advantage of this, the dumper driver fled from the spot. The dumper was standing on the road itself. The dumper is registered from Uttar Pradesh. He told that as soon as information about the accident was received, Semaria Chowki police had reached the spot. All the injured were brought to the district hospital through Dial 100 and 108 ambulances, from where they were referred to Rewa. Information is being collected about how the incident happened.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed grief over the accident through social media late Tuesday evening. He said that today the heart is saddened by the news of many casualties in the unfortunate accident of collision of two vehicles in village Badhaura located on Sidhi-Rewa National Highway. My condolences are with the bereaved family. Financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each will be provided to the families of the deceased and the district administration has been directed to make proper treatment arrangements for the injured. Baba Mahakal is prayed to grant peace to the departed souls at his feet, speedy recovery to the injured and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this thunderbolt.
