Umang App can be accessed from DigiLocker, all services will be available at one place

Many new features have come in DigiLocker with Umang App integration. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) said users will now be able to access and manage personal and official documents as well as multiple government services from a single platform. Umang app integration in DigiLocker is currently rolled out only for Android users. It will also be rolled out for iOS in the coming days.

National e-Governance Division gave information in the press release.

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) in a press release informed about the integration of Umang App into DigiLocker. With this integration, users will be able to access multiple services like Aadhaar, PAN, EPFO, certificates, pension, utility, health and travel on a single platform. It is currently being offered only for Android as the Umang app is not available on the iOS platform. If you don't see integration of Umang app into DigiLocker, you can follow these steps:

1- First of all update your DigiLocker app to the latest version.

2- After this open DigiLocker app in your Android phone.

3- Tap on the Umang icon visible in the DigiLocker app.

4- Install Umang app from Google Play Store when prompted.

Integration of Railway's hiring portal with DigiLocker

A few days ago, Indian Railways has reportedly integrated its hiring portal into the DigiLocker app. It aims to reduce the recruitment process from 18 to 24 months to 6 months. It is being told that now the verification process is completely based on DigiLocker. Let us tell you that DigiLocker is a major initiative of the Digital India programme. It provides secure cloud-based storage of users' important documents.
