Ujjain: Three youths from Hyderabad were flying a drone over Mahakal temple, arrested

Ujjain, July 12 (HS). A drone was seen flying in the restricted area of ​​Jyotirling Mahakal temple on Friday afternoon. The employees monitoring it informed the guards about it. Based on the location, the security personnel took immediate action and reached the roof of a hotel located in the lane of Badi Ganesh Mandir and caught three youths from Hyderabad. The youths were later released after being charged Rs 1100 for illegal photography.

Administrator of Mahakal Temple Committee Mrinal Meena said that the security system of the temple remains on alert mode. On Friday afternoon at around 1.30 pm, a drone was seen flying above the temple. The in-charge who was monitoring from the control room informed the guards and the youths were caught. The three youths flying the drone are said to be residents of Telangana, Hyderabad. Their names are said to be Sai Kumar, Mukesh and Omkar. The three youths were taking photographs with the drone of local person Rajat Sharma.

He told that when the temple guards reached the hotel, Rajat had fled with the drone. Later, on the information given by the youths, he was called over the phone. The guards took the three youths caught to Mahakal Police Station. They were questioned here, and the intention of the youths was found to be only photography. However, the temple administration has collected a fine of Rs 1100 from the youths as prescribed by the committee for illegal photography.
