Ujjain: On Mahashivratri, Mahakal city echoed with the cheers of Har Har Mahadev, Bam Bam Bhole

Ujjain, March 8 (HS). On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, lakhs of devotees reached Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain to have darshan of Lord Mahakal. Collector Singh and Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma continued touring and monitoring the arrangements. Under the guidance of the Collector, Mahashivratri festival was organized well and successfully in the entire district.

Free bus facility for devotees

Temple administrator Sandeep Soni said that on the occasion of Mahashivratri, free bus facility was arranged for a large number of devotees. The visiting devotees availed bus facility to and from the parking lot. To enable the devotees to easily travel to the entrance of the temple from the vehicle parking established, 100 buses were run free of cost from the vehicle parking to the entrance of the temple, so that the devotees can easily travel from the parking lot to the entrance of the temple. Drinking water, toilets, first aid arrangements and adequate lighting have been made in the established vehicle parking.

Drinking water facility every 200 meters

In order to provide drinking water facility to the visiting devotees, temporary kiosks were installed every 200 meters from the gate designated for entry into the temple, as well as at the parking lot, drinking water kiosks were installed as per the convenience of the devotees. Keeping in view the summer season, under the arrangements for darshan of the devotees, matting has been laid on the entire route from the entry gate to the exit gate, from the exit gate to the shoe stand, and a canopy has been installed, so that the devotees can stay in the shade all the time and see Baba Mahakal. To provide first aid facilities to the devotees visiting Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, vehicle parking established near Triveni Interpretation Centre, vehicle parking established near Karkaraj Mahadev Temple, Chardham Temple Parking Lot, Harsiddhi Temple Square, Mansarovar Bhawan, Mahakal Plaza, Facility Center.
