Ujjain Mahakal Temple: A major accident has occurred in the Mahakal Temple located in Ujjain. During the Bhasma Aarti, a massive fire broke out in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, creating an atmosphere of chaos. 10 people were seriously burnt in the accident. After receiving the information, the police and rescue team admitted the people burnt in the fire to the hospital for treatment. However, the team controlled the fire in time.
Thirteen people were seriously burnt in a fire that broke out in the sanctum sanctorum during the Bhasma Aarti at the Jyotirlinga Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain on Monday morning. According to the information received, a fire broke out in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple while offering Abil Gulal in the temple. There was chaos due to the fire.
The team reached the spot and admitted everyone to the hospital where they are undergoing treatment. Collector Neeraj Singh and SP Pradeep Sharma have also reached the hospital to inquire about the well being of the injured. A team of doctors said that the condition of all the injured is stable and out of danger. Devotees say that while spraying gulal in the temple, a sudden fire broke out.

Giving further information on the matter, District Magistrate Neeraj Kumar Singh said, “A fire broke out in the sanctum sanctorum during the Bhasma Aarti. “13 people have been injured in this incident…they are undergoing treatment”.
