Ujjain: Lord Shri Mahakaleshwar gave darshan in the form of Shri Ghatatop

Ujjain, March 02 (HS). To worship Lord Shiva and get special blessings, the month of Shravan, Pradosh Vrat, Monday, Shivratri of every month and Mahashivratri great festival have special significance. According to the Hindu calendar, Mahashivratri is celebrated every year on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month. Which is on Friday 08 March this year.

After the evening worship on the third day of Shiva Navratri in Shri Mahakaleshwar temple, Lord Shri Mahakaleshwar appeared to the devotees in the form of Shri Ghatatop. Earlier in the morning, under the guidance of government priest Ghanshyam Sharma, the consecration of Lord Mahakaleshwar was done by 11 Brahmins with Ekadash-Ekadashani Rudrapath and after the evening puja, Baba Shri Mahakal was made to wear blue clothes. Apart from this, mekhala, dupatta, crown, umbrella, snake ring, head garland and garland of fruits etc. were made to be worn.

Naradiya Kirtan is happening every day in the temple premises

Devarshi Naradji stands and chants the name of Hari with the sound of kartal and veena. Therefore this method of Kirtan is called Naradiya Kirtan. This tradition has been going on in Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple for more than 115 years. Since 1909, the traditional service of Harikirtan is being provided by the Kanadkar family, Indore on the occasion of Shivnavaratri in the premises of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple.

In the same sequence, Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee is organizing Shiv Katha and Hari Kirtan of Katharatna Hari devotee Pt. Ramesh Kanadkar from 04:30 to 06 pm on the marble platform near the Navagrah Temple in the temple premises. On Saturday, Pt. Shri Kanadkar ji described the character of Chitrasen Gandharva in the story in which he told about the war between the devotee and God. Shri Aseem Kanadkar accompanied on the tabla.

During the festival, attractive electrical and floral decorations have been done in the entire temple area. During Shiva Navratri festival, devotees experience spiritual peace and heavenly bliss after having divine and supernatural darshan of Baba Mahakal. The devotees get the virtuous benefit of this supernatural darshan of Lord Shri Mahakaleshwar ji till the night aarti.
