Ujjain: Fourth procession of Shravan month, Baba Mahakal appeared in four forms on Monday | News India

Ujjain, 12 August (HS). On the fourth Monday of this Shravan-Bhadon month, 12 August, Baba Mahakal went out for a city tour and gave darshan in four forms. Chandramouliswara was seated in the palanquin, Man Mahesh on Gajraj, Shiv Tandava on Garuda chariot and Uma Mahesh on Nandi chariot. The palanquin went out for a city tour after the worship at 4 pm.

Collector cum Mahakal Temple Management Committee Chairman Neeraj Kumar Singh said that on Monday afternoon, Baba Mahakal was worshipped and anointed in the Sabha Mandap situated in the Kotitirth premises. On this occasion cabin ministers of the state were present. Later, the Lord in the Chandramouleshwar form was seated in the palanquin and brought to the main gate. Here, as per tradition, the armed police force gave guard of honour to the Lord. From here, Baba set out on the city tour to the melodious tune of the police band. Behind the palanquin, Lord was seated in Man Mahesh on Gajraj, Shiv Tandava on Garuda chariot and Uma Mahesh form on Nandi chariot.

The procession reached Ramghat via Kot Mohalla Chauraha, Gudri, Bakshi Bazaar, Kaharwadi. Devotees welcomed Baba by showering rose petals on the entire route. Rangoli was also made on the road. When the palanquin reached Ramghat, according to tradition, Mother Shipra was worshipped here and Baba Mahakal was anointed with the water of Mother Shipra. From here the palanquin again left for the temple. The palanquin passed through Ramanujkot, Modh ki Dharamshala, Khati ka Mandir, Satyanarayan Mandir, Dhaba Road, Tanki Chowk, Chhatri Chowk and reached the temple again via Gopal Mandir, Patni Bazaar, Gudri, Kot Mohalla Chauraha.
