Ujjain, 21 November (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav unveiled and garlanded the new statue of Bharat Ratna Dr. Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar at Tower Chowk after the Bhoomi Pujan program of Medicity Medical College on Thursday. During this, MP Anil Firojia, Balayogi Umeshnath Maharaj, Minister in-charge Gautam Tetwal, Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, MLA Anil Jain Kaluheda, Satish Malviya, Municipal Corporation Chairman Kalavati Yadav and other distinguished citizens were present.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Ujjain city has many specialties. He said that all our great men have made invaluable contribution in building the country of India. Baba Saheb is such a great hero of the 20th century, who raised his voice and fought against the inconsistencies, evils and evils in this country for equality, for coexistence, for bringing common feelings in the society. Before India’s independence, it removed many social evils and gave birth to new ideas. Baba Saheb empowered the weaker sections of the society and encouraged them to move forward. By creating the Constitution, he gave everyone the right to equality. The administration should pay special attention to the safety of the statues to ensure that the statues of great men are not tampered with in the future.
The Chief Minister on his part extended his best wishes to everyone. Mayor Mukesh Tatwal expressed gratitude in the program. It is noteworthy that the said statue was constructed at a cost of Rs 12.50 lakh. On the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, CCTV cameras have been installed for the security of the statue and beautification and electrical decoration of the area around the statue has also been done.
