UGC NET exam for college teachers cancelled for the first time

New Delhi: The UGC NET exam for becoming a teacher in colleges and universities in the country has been cancelled after the paper leak was confirmed. This is the first time that the UGC NET exam has been cancelled. For the past several years, papers of many important exams have been leaked and the exams had to be cancelled. Now the candidates preparing to become teachers are disappointed with the inclusion of UGC NET. Along with cancelling the exam, the central government has ordered a CBI inquiry into the paper leak.

The exam was conducted yesterday by the National Testing Agency. The exam was conducted on June 18 in both pen and paper mode (OMR) in various cities of the country.

However, there was a complaint that the paper of this exam was leaked. The National Cyber ​​Crime Threat Analysis Unit of the Cyber ​​Crime Coordination Center under the Union Home Ministry received specific inputs. According to that, it was confirmed that the paper of this exam was leaked.

After this report, the Education Ministry of the Central Government has decided to cancel the examination conducted yesterday. Now the examination will be held again. Details including the date will be announced later. Along with this, the investigation of the entire paper leak case has also been handed over to the CBI.

According to an official list, the complete report is being received from the Economic Offences Prevention Branch of Bihar Police. After receiving it, the government will take further action.

According to UGC, a total of 11.21 lakh candidates had registered for this exam. Out of these, 81 percent students appeared in the exam. This exam was conducted in 317 cities across the country. This exam is conducted to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor posts in Indian colleges and universities.

This exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency as a computer based test.

This exam is conducted twice every year in December and June. This exam is conducted in a total of 83 subjects.
