Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: After the Lok Sabha elections, elections will be held on 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. Now political parties have intensified their preparations for the assembly elections. According to information received from sources, there is a possibility that this time Uddhav Thackeray can contest all the assembly seats on his own.
Held a meeting with all party leaders and officials
Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray held a meeting with all the party leaders and officials of the state at Shiv Sena Bhavan on Wednesday. According to party leader Ambadas Danve, Thackeray spoke to the coordinators of all 288 assembly constituencies and ordered them to start preparing for the elections later this year. Apart from this, Uddhav Thackeray also sought information about 288 assembly seats from all the leaders.
Assembly elections are likely to be held at the end of the year
It is worth noting that Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) has performed well in the recently held Lok Sabha elections. The party fielded its candidates on 21 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra with Bharat Gathbandhan and won 9 seats. Assembly elections are likely to be held in Maharashtra in October or November, for which all the parties have started preparations. After the good results in the Lok Sabha elections, there is now talk that Uddhav Thackeray may contest the elections alone and not form an alliance with any party on all the assembly seats. However, no official announcement has been made yet.
