U-turn of monsoon trough line, rain likely to start from 27th | News India

Jaipur, 21 September (HS). Monsoon is now on its way to leave Rajasthan. However, it is being predicted that the monsoon will become active once again before it leaves.

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Department, conditions are becoming favorable for the withdrawal of southwest monsoon in western Rajasthan and parts of Kutch around September 23. The monsoon trough line is now passing through Bikaner. Cyclonic circulation in south-eastern Rajasthan and adjoining areas is now over north-east Rajasthan. With the end of the rainy season, the weather has started to remain clear. Weather experts have not predicted heavy rain anywhere in Rajasthan in the next one week. Rain activities are expected to resume in Rajasthan from 27 to 3 October. During the last 24 hours, the weather remained clear in most parts of Rajasthan. Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Kota, Jodhpur along with some parts of Bikaner and Udaipur divisions were cloudy throughout the day, but there was no rain.

According to weather experts, the monsoon turf line is still in its normal position, but no strong system is developing these days. Due to this, there is less chance of rain in Rajasthan for the next five-seven days. Local clouding and light drizzle or rain may occur at some places in eastern Rajasthan. The spell of rain may have stopped, but the temperature in the state is still below normal. The maximum day temperature in Sikar was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius yesterday. At the same time, Ajmer recorded 31.7, Jaipur 31.2, Bikaner 34.8, Churu 32.8, Pilani 32.2 and Jodhpur recorded a maximum day temperature of 34.2 degrees Celsius yesterday.

This monsoon season, Rajasthan has received 58 percent more rainfall than the average. The average rainfall in Rajasthan from June 1 to September 20 is 424.4 mm, whereas this season, 671.7 mm rainfall has been recorded so far. Jhalawar is the only district where rainfall was five percent less than the average, whereas all the remaining 32 districts recorded more than average rainfall.

Jaipur Meteorological Centre has issued the weather forecast for the next two weeks in Rajasthan. It has predicted very little rain in Rajasthan till 26th September. There may be light rain with thundershowers at some places in eastern Rajasthan, but the weather is expected to remain dry and sunny in most parts of the state.
